(Note: If you are registering as a specialist or generalist member of a Taxon Team, click here to see what we provide for you. The following list applies to novices, general volunteers, media or other visitors.)
This event is outdoors and will be held rain or shine. Please dress appropriately, and remember to bring a water bottle. It may be hot, so plan on staying well-hydrated. This site is wild, so terrain may be rough. Hiking sticks may be helpful. Proper footwear (sturdy hiking boots/shoes) will be necessary. Hazards such as poison ivy, ticks, and rattlesnakes may be encountered on this property. INHF will have first aid kits on hand, but bring any medicine (allergy medication, inhalers, etc.) you might need. A safety evacuation plan has been arranged with medical authorities in the area.
Food: You may bring your own food and beverages or sign up for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner for a nominal fee. Please answer the appropriate questions on the registration forms so that we order enough food. For more information, e-mail Marlene Ehresman, or call (515) 288-1846 |
