Join Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, Blank Park Zoo, Des Moines Parks and Recreation and Trees Forever for our summer UpCycle series. Help restore Gray's Lake's woodland by removing invasive plants, which will be upcycled food for the zoo's animals, and connect with your community at this unique event!
After the event, we'll head to Confluence Brewery. Confluence is offering a complimentary beverage to the first 30 UpCycle volunteers over 21.
All UpCycle events will be held the third Thursday of each month June - August (June 15th, July 20th, August 17th) from 5:30 pm – 7:30 p.m. at Gray's Lake in Des Moines.
Volunteers who attend all three UpCycle events will be entered to win a Blank Park Zoo family four pack and feed bundle, which includes food to feed the parakeets, ostriches, giraffes, kid's kingdom animals and fish!
