Upper Midwest Wildlife Habitat InitiativeThis information was written in November 2007.
The Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation is coordinating a five-state effort to protect priority wildlife habitat. This initiative aims to permanently protect key natural lands valued at $60 million between June 2007 and December 2010. Lead funding comes from the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation through a $10.8 million grant to INHF. This initiative focuses on some of the lands identified as priorities through State Wildlife Action Plans recently adopted in each state. In Iowa, INHF is using this initiative as the springboard for the largest single campaign for natural land protection that’s ever been launched in Iowa: The Campaign for The Bluffs, The Hills, The Lakes. We invite you to be part of this important and ambitious work! For more information, e-mail Anita O'Gara, INHF's VP and Director of Development, or call (515) 288-1846. © Copyright
