Trail description:

The Jefferson County Trail System includes the Loop Trail, the Cedar View Trail, and seven miles of looping trails within Jefferson County Park. The Loop Trail goes around the town of Fairfield, mostly outside the city limits. Five more miles of the Loop Trail should be complete in 2007, and will provide a direct connection to the Cedar View Trail. The Cedar View Trail, which connects Fairfield to Libertyville, features prairie areas, birdhouses and great views.
