Use this map to find trails in specific parts of Iowa. When you pause your mouse over a given trail, its name will appear on your screen. By clicking any of the dots, you'll be taken to the "intro" page for that trail, which includes more information about the trail--plus links to maps, a list of local amenities, local trail and tourism contacts, additional websites related to the trail and more. For all 45 trails shown below, the intro page contains links to the map that appeared in the most recent edition of the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation's Iowa by Trail book and/or more recent maps provided by the trail managers. The 12 trails denoted by blue dots also include supplementary trail maps that INHF was able to create with special funding from the Iowa Department of Transportation. We will be adding further expansions over time.
