The Hickory Ridge Wilderness Camp’s project budget totals $405,000.

  • Thanks to the generosity of 75 donors plus major commitments by the Corps and the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, more than 90% of the resources needed for this project are in hand.
  • The remaining $36,000 must be pledged or given by November 30, 2010, in order to transfer the land to the Corps this winter and make it available for public enjoyment beginning next spring.

All gifts are welcome and are tax deductible. Pledges can be made now and paid over three years, or given in a lump sum. The site will not be open for public use until after fundraising is complete.

Donors of $1,000 or more may choose to be recognized with signage at the Hickory Ridge Camp.

To pledge or issue a challenge gift, contact Anita O'Gara at aogara@inhf.org or 515-288-1846

Thanks to preliminary work by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and a number of generous donors for the progress to date.
