Bob Jester named INHF board chair

This article first appeared in INHF's Winter 2006 magazine.

Ed Power (left) completed his term as INHF’s board chair at the Fall 2005 meeting. He hands over the gavel to our 2006-08 chair, Bob Jester (right). Mark Ackelson, INHF’s president, is shown at center.

Bob Jester of West Des Moines was recently named chair of INHF’s board of directors. Bob replaces Ed Power, who had held the position for two years. Bob is a long-time member and board member of INHF and has held board positions with other land trusts.

Other new board officers include Neil Hamilton, who joined Carole Reichardt as a vice-chair. Neil and Ed will also serve as co-chairs of the Development Committee. Sarah Lande is the new Program and Planning Committee chair and Chris Lindell will chair the Audit Committee. All other officer and committee chair positions remain unchanged and are posted online on the board member page.

“Ed Power brought many great ideas to the board, and I’m looking forward to the same from Bob,” said Mark Ackelson, INHF president. “INHF’s staff and members are lucky to have such a talented and dedicated group of volunteers serving on our board.”
